BBC: "On Sunday, Gulf Arab states agreed to pay the salaries and other costs of the rebel Free Syrian Army (FSA). The money will be distributed through the main opposition coalition, the Syrian National Council (SNC)".

Should this move be welcomed?

Yes It is about time states in that region took responsibility for what goes on there rather than let it get used as a proxy battlefield for wider interests.

Wait. You mean the US doesn't get to bomb someone? I don't know about this.

Bombs don't grow on trees you know, imagine the savings for the treasury if people would simply bomb each other.

I wonder if the pentagon has considered the potential of GM trees. And then I think, probably.

It seems Iran is bankrolling the Syrian government forces and Hezbollah is helping the government as well. Turkey might get involved on the side of the rebels.

Kurds interfering with Turkey supporting rebels - I guess that means the Kurds support the Syrian government?

No worries, my guess is that the US will secretly fund them and arm them.

It's not so secret. The USA is one of the 70 nations helping the Gulf Arab states pay these salaries. We're paying about half of it I think.
