When you can't find a climate scientists to lie to you it only makes sense to get an ignorant child to do it.

This award has had a great detrimental effect on whatever is left of this loser publication's reputation. Unbelievable.....Ahhh, but you libs are all over it. Pitiful. She leaves her postered bedroom, with the seals and such, like my granddaughter's bedroom, and at the corner are people who say, 'hey, this kid would be perfect.,,,, run the usual indoctrination on her, get tutelage for speaking, and Voila!, we will sucker the world....and Time Magazine". From her bedroom to the cover. Laughable, and you all fall for it.

Once again a sitting POTUS uses his office to denigrate a single individual, in this case Greta.
So this is the new normal, and you folks LOVE that behavior.

It is now WAY ok for the presidency to become a comedy show.

That disgusting behavior is not presidential. It is just what a narcissistic sociopath would say because Trump has coveted the idea of TRUMP being named person of the year and in fact there were fake Times covers with his picture on it as person of the year and he in fact used them to put on the walls of his golf resorts.
Yep, a really great person this Trump.

Think of how their liberal parents brainwashed her into thinking people are dying because of GW and she might be next. Her parents have her in a perpetual state of fear because they fed her falsehoods about GW.

It is child abuse. Nobody is dying from GW. Parents are supposed to make their children feel safe, not terrified over nothing.

Even if not necessarily falsehoods, certainly, she's been scared out of her mind with hyperbolic doomsday predictions.

For some reason the teenage activist who says we should take some reasonable, common-sense steps that can be implemented in the medium term to tackle a fairly serious but not catastrophic issue did not receive as much media attention.

If her goal was media attention, sure, being hysterical gets much more attention than being reasonable.

If the issue was to affect policy, well, perhaps teenagers shouldn't be running world policy anyway.

Trump predictably attacked the 16 year old girl.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2019/12/12/trump-mocks-greta-thunberg-being-times-person-year/4407278002/

Which is what they wanted him to do, to effect him negatively in the media.

He took it hook, line, and sinker like he always does.

I just feel bad for the girl being used like a pawn like this.

It's just sickening is all.

Trump should have gone after those who have damaged the child psychologically instead because this is child abuse.

If we tone down the cynicism then we can reasonably imagine that her goal is to try and put climate change on the political agenda.

My point is that media aren't likely to give much attention to people voicing nuanced opinions.

How can anyone with half a brain not get cynical in a world that awards Mr. Libyan Progressive the Nobel Peace Prize?

The whole media infrastructure is geared towards political activism.

Meanwhile, they will derail and destroy the current President who is the first to not start a war as President in a very, very, long time. If anyone should be getting a Nobel peace prize for showing restraint with such things as the Iranian antics and those in North Korea, etc., it is Donald Trump.
