Are you a “stately horse” in this analogy?

Apparently he was 100-1 but now 33-1.
He'd be grinning like a Cheshire Cat to put one over Boris and Jeremy!

Doesn't seem to far fetched.
Of course Boris has to resign first and he may not do that.

Anyone fancy a bet?
I don't think much of Bercow, mind you it's becoming increasingly hard to name a political figure I do have any respect for who is still a viable candidate for the job. As the Speaker of the House of Commons he is meant to be impartial and does not appear to be acting in an impartial fashion.

A horse and now a fly ... what’s next the old lady who lived in a shoe?

Sure I’ll take you up on a bet. He doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell. Why do you think the Tory faithful voted for Boris in the first place?

I sometimes think you live in dreamland and then I remember that you do.
I meant does anyone want to take up the bet with the bookies.
Of course it is far-fetched but it has been talked about and 33-1
seems reasonable odds. Nip down to Ladbrokes and put a fiver on for me.

Actually, live dangerously right, I'm up for $100 even money.
Do you understand what 33-1 means?

Oh that's great, you weren't offering to put your money where your mouth is. You were advertising the services of bookies in the UK as if nobody knew, it was a PSA, you were being thoughtful, and educational, sharing your knowledge, in the UK there are bookies and you can place bets with them.

When doody like that arrives in my email I call it what it is, spam.

Really ... does everything have to be explained so simply to you?

I was commenting on the fact that at 33-1 it looks like a reasonable bet.
I'm not taking evens!

Hold on to that fiver dive.
Just read that Labour are vetoing the plan to instal Bercow as PM.

Labour have vehemently slapped down a plan to make John Bercow
caretaker Prime Minister to stop a no-deal Brexit . According to the
Sunday Times, MPs discussed an eyebrow-raising plan to install the
Commons Speaker as head of a "government of national unity" -
despite dividing MPs with his approach to Parliament. But it came
just hours after Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell made clear
he would accept no one but Jeremy Corbyn as an interim PM.

Rather than being the saviours of the country The Labour Party is riven with racism, bullying and blatant self-interest.

As the current House of Commons grapples to hang on to the slippery pole of power by avoiding a general election, the more their metaphorical skirts lift up.

Do you still also maintain that in a General Election the Brexit Party will not gain a single seat?

Here’s an example of how desperate Labour are becoming in the North East as the Brexit Party rampage through the shires with their nationwide (and interestingly unreported by the media) tour of rallies and conferences, hoovering up grass roots labour support.

https://news.sky.com/story/labour-vow-to-give-football-fans-power-to-hire-and-fire-club-directors-11829352

Labour vow to give football fans power to hire and fire club directors ~ Jeremy Corbyn meets Newcastle United supporters and criticises "bad owners" such as billionaire businessman Mike Ashley.

Really!?? Legislation permitting football fans to remove the owners of a business from being a director of it ~ what utter nonsense and outright lies. How on earth can that be “legislated” for and what are the precedents it sets.

Labour are so desperate to fend off the Brexit Party they will stop at nothing to grab future votes.

Hahaha from a supporter of the conservative government led by Boris Johnson. Satirical post of the week for sure, nice one.

‘There’s the rub’ Politicians of every ilk are more interested in politics than doing the rational or right thing. Why would Labour expect their opponents in the coming general election to hand them that kind of electoral boost.
Bercow to one side there are plenty of grand dames and dukes on the back benches who could play the disinterested caretaker for the short period involved, but no, Jeremy sees an opportunity for getting his ass in the big chair and literally nothing else.
