I am willing to volunteer. I love this site but the chess part just hurts my feelings, game after game. Being a Moderator would give me new purpose.

That would be quite difficult to do being the thread was started today! πŸ˜‰

Okay, I don't want to be a mod, but I think that asking people who do want to be a mod to post in a public thread about it is wrong on so many levels.

However, I would like to nominate people who I think would make decent mods:

sbacat
HandyAndy
Bosse de Nage
mlprior
pawnhandler
rbmorris

Most of these people would probably say no, but that's just MY LIST of super new mods.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, that is very sweet! 😏

I don't think I am on enough to moderate but the others sound good!

The BOSS

in my own mind.

That there are no female mods now probably has its reasons. For example:
- coincidence
- less female then male on the site
- woman dont care about the healthyness of the forums
- woman are smart not to 'waste' thier time with moddin ...[text shortened]... use they are buisy with cooking
- etc

And heinzkat, that cant be since i really like you:p

- woman are smart not to 'waste' their time with modding - bs - wait, what?
- woman don't have time because they are busy with cooking - idiot

Well, guess I'm out. Too abusive and controversial πŸ˜›

Yes, I appreciate that rules out most people, but there must be few people who still qualify, right?
I'd like to put my name forward to fill the poesition.

To use the beautiful word which darvlay invented, I've never posted anything controllversial, and am well respected, nay loved by all, apart from 1 or 2 malcontents, who will be dealt with in a brutal, but fair, manner in my first round of extermoderations.

What? You are argumentative, double-minded, provocative and underhand.

you're perfect for it imo.

lol, I hope you noted that half those reasons were for fun because i was called a "woman-hater".

I hope you also noted that I dont really think woman should be just locked up in cages...They should be chained ánd locked up!😠

And yes, reason 4 was actually a compliment^^

I know, but I have no history of friction with the motley pompous tossers who infest General so I will perhaps command their respect.

I have to call you out on this one.

When I infiltrated Clan 24768, I noticed that only 40% of the threads were about cooking and swapping recipes. The rest contained tips on the removal of stains from various fabrics, a lengthy Dave Matthews Band discussion, dieting advice, and an in-depth fashion and hairstyle analysis of celebrities.

lol, my apologies, that reason was not worked out well enough. I should have added this:
"- woman dont have time because they are buisy with cooking" or any other of the few things woman are capable of doing such as cleaning, talking about fashion, gossiping (this a word?), moaning about various things or making babys.

That pretty much makes the list complete or did you have any more additions?πŸ™‚

The funny thing here is that I would let you in there. And you are the only dude I would ever let in there.
