I mean, in general. Isn't it the place where we are all
supposed to be free from the burdens of physical life?
The way I see it, any self-respecting religion based on
the improvement of the fleshy us into a higher level
of spirituality, should "offer" a paradise where those
ideals are materialized: brotherhood, lack of need,
higher knowledge, peace, harmony, etc.

I wonder, then, what is wrong with those religions which
offer people to indulge in hetero and homo sex, binge
drinking and eating, etc.

I mean... seriously. That does not sound like a "higher
version of a human being", does it?

the idea of paradise does not include they desires of the flesh,
but a life without pain, sickness, worry, and sin in any shape or form.

I am not so sure for clearly from a Biblical perspective Adam and Eve were placed in a paradise with the mandate to go forth and multiply!

If there's no desires of the flesh, what's the point in being pain, sick and worry free?

Paradise is what you make the stuff in front of you out to be

No, I mean, really: isn't the afterlife supposed to be
about peace, harmony, and communion with the Lord?

Or do you consider a suitable spiritual afterlife to indulge
oneself in the pleasures of the flesh?

Well, god loves us right? Why wouldn't paradise be a place to go overindulgent on such pleasures? 😉

Why is the afterlife supposed to be about peace harmony and communion? We can't have such things here and now? I think that's the most suitable spirituality right there. Don't hold it off for some ambiguous thing after death, you already have all the means to do so now. I'm sure god would appreciate that a lot more, too, than having to rely on a different medium when the initial already has all the conditions.

More to the point will be the fact that all Organised Religions have spoken about Heaven and Hell ! Hindu Religious creed is that all the people who have earned Merit on balance by doing Good Deeds go to heaven and enjoy the company of Gods, enjoy all sorts of pleasures and so on as rewards. Bad people who have done Bad Deeds on balance go to hell where they suffer excruciating pain as punishment.
The creed also says that on consuming the rewards/punishments i.e. after exhausting their account of Net Merit or Net Sin, the souls come back to earth to go through yet again cycles of Life and Death.
We are told that we must escape this cyclic journey by yielding to God.

One side of the coin says it will be whatever you wish it to be, and the other side says you will wish it to be whatever it is. For what it's worth, you'll get to flip the coin.

I think both are excellent afterlives.

I think your right. It's constant sex and you never get tired.

The sensual fantasies appeal to poor people, that's all. Same with the sensual imagery of fire and brimstone and divine plagues.

The "higher ideals" are what people who have all their other needs satisfied want.

How about a conceptual bribe to take one's mind off of the prospect of self-extinction?

In any case, it is only human to aspire to a
higher level of spirituality, to find answers,
to "see it all clear".

Not to fondle teens and bugger boys while
boozing and gagging on fruit... or is it?

was not that after they were cast out of the garden, or when they were getting cast out god still spoke to them. telling them to go out and multiply giving man the burden ot heavy labour and the woman child birth.
