So when your body dies (because the soul that you are, cant) and accordingto your karma, you will take another birth anywhere in this universe

Religion or spiritual life is meant to raise your consciousness to the ...[text shortened]... e to start with your spiritual life.

i like the words of the ancient King,

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) . . .For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

I think you cease to exist, though sometimes I speculate rebirth in the far future due to re-evolving of you...but then we get into areas that make my brain hurt.

The Vedanta teachings are the souce of all spiritual and religious teachings and are compiled in Sanskrit text, they are authorized and bonafide as truth.

I have associated myself with these teachings for 35 yrs. and have put into practice much of the devotional instruction.

When one follows these teachings, they are gifted with insight and knowledge.

I ask everyone to at least look at them, and study them for at least 12mths, before making any hasty judgements.

Everyone has a computer these days, so its quiet easy.

1. Current science tells us, correct me if I am wrong, that whatever "energy" is it can neither be created nor destroyed, it can but change. Is my only "energy" physical, and if not, what happens to all that mental or other "energy" that holds our human being together in manifested life? Just mused that the other day.

2. The sublime understanding of Emptiness suggests we (who are ultimately "empty" too) neither die nor not die, (a bit like that quantum cat) for whatever we ultimately are is indefinable and ungraspable. Obviously however, something is going on.

3. Concepts of "Heaven" and "Hell" are related to karmic cause and effect, but without a "self" to what does karma attach, or what will burn in those flames, or play those harps?

4. Ultimately, (not conventionally) it appears as all perfectly harmonious to the last atomic particle of light/energy, full of wonder, and I personally don't worry too much about it.

5. How did all these wondrous discussions of man emerge from the gas and dust? They even say the gas and dust just popped into existence, and now likely its cyclic! How can the Unborn die?

In the Holy Bible (KJ orig. ~only~) it is written "Heaven cometh not by observation, but is WITHIN you" (anyone whoso desires to seek).
Heaven is the ACTUALITY to everything, being God IS Heaven, and there IS NO spot where HE (Our Father Mother God Good) is not, for HE IS what Life is, that being LOVE, INTELLIGENCE, STRENGTH, the defining of these words, and our ACTUAL true being is this image and this likeness...
Hell is the past 6,000 yrs. of man's making due to sin (ignorance, which is WHY there IS darkness).. Hell is pain, sickness, disease, death, these all are qualities to it's creation, it's building , which is man's captivity, and Peter's RESPONSIBILITY to overcome it all!
Matthew 16:1-21 (King James Version)
18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I don't really play chess any more so maybe my view doesn't count but I'm ill and had a few drinks and felt like contributing lol

I think when we die we all kerplode into heaven in lil sparkly stars and are given a lecture by God on what we did wrong and told we have to be nice in heaven and sit bored on a white fluffy cloud listening to angelic harps playing for eternity for the rest of our existence

or maybe we just die and that's that....

sounds so much more true and satisfying to me

Nature holds up a mirror to us in this regard. How was the autumn of 1810 for you? Chances are, the autumn of 2210 will be the same.

I suspect some people find the prospect of total annihilation difficult to imagine or deal with. But in a relatively short time, that won't matter to them.
