i also find religion interesting. i like history and mythology, but knew little about the bible. talking to religious people on here has encouraged me to learn more about religion. ive learnt tonnes and gotten rid of a few misconceptions.
on a similar theme my daughter was interested in christianity, so by learning how christians explain the things i find hard to understand would help me support her.
i also like to have a good old fashioned argument.

Bizarre, as opposed to normal? If so, how is normal defined, if not by what the vast majority practices?
i would also point out that at one point the majority thought the world was flat. normal does not equal correct.

I think it's all about freedom of speech. I think that if a spiritualist or religionist or whatever term you may loosely apply to someone who "thinks there is more to life than what the scientific establishment says (and predicts)", who basically believes in some aspect of 'magic' or the 'supernatural', (etc.). (you get the gist? ..i hope you get the gist ..)
If you have a solid basis for your (religious) ideas then they should stand up to scrutiny. Good "spiritualism",(I'm not sure I'm using that term correctly), should not only stand up to criticism, but it should also offer something to "all people", imo.
It may seem contrarian to you but as much as humans like to try to make the world predictable/dependable, explainable in one dimensional logic, give you a linear view of life (ie you are born-you live- you die. Period nothing more ), able to be defined by (CURRENT) mathematical logic,etc.,etc, this is simply not the case.
We create the world with our minds, more precisely ,we co-create the world with our MIND. (you thought I was going to say "minds" right? instead of "Mind", with a big "m" and not even any inverted commas. )
So basically that's as much as I can say here, because of the diverging linguistical interpretations of the last sentences (the ones starting with "We create..." ,everyone is going to get a different message. Capice? (You will need specific questions if you wish to continue)
