In Matthew 16:15, Jesus asks His disciples "But who do YOU say I am"?
How would you answer this question? And does your answer determine whether or not you are a Christian?
Me: I am not sure. I try to believe He existed, and that He was divine, but it's difficult sometimes because of how long ago He lived, and that I must believe what the Bible tells.
Is He God? I have much difficulty with that.
But I'm curious to see how others here answer the question.

Your difficulties are not exclusive to you, try not to worry about full understanding if it eludes you. God knows a person’s heart.

Jesus never made these claims Himself.
Your problem therefore is your choice of source material. Decide what material you want to accept as being the truth and go from there.

People do not accept the gospel preached by Christ. They rather dig into stuff they cannot understand and end up confusing themselves.
