If memory serves, the last time we had the competition 3 judges were appointed and chose the topic for a sermon. There were no other posts allowed EXCEPT for sermons. There were no responses to the sermons and deadlines were given for the sermons to start and end. Then a new thread was created for the judges to judge the sermon.

How does that sound? We already have one judge volunteer, anyone else?
I'll judge. If you'll have me ,that is

You had me at "I'll".

Ok, your a judge. I will now create a thread for our three judges to pick a topic and time frame for sermons to be given.

How does that sound?
500 words sounds good. I cannot promise justice for the long-winded.

There will be no commentators. There will only be judges and those who give a sermon. Are you interested in either?
i'm philosophically opposed to judging. what will be will be. as for the sermon, i'm not much for limiting rules. it means i would have to fit my ideas into a box constructed by someone else.

i'll just wait and see for now.

A maximum number of words is more of a "challenge" than it is a "limit".

judging it justs puts another fun aspect on it for me. It should be for a bit of fun first and foremost or else why do it.

Fun aside. You lose a point for the missing question mark.

The almighty whodey has spoken in favor of one standard size, full length post. If the thought of having to read the entries is distasteful to you, then perhaps you should excuse yourself from the assignment.

I have had a change of heart. You still need two.

That didn't take much.
