In the RcV - First John 1:7

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin."

Can you trust a guy as a supposed "Christian" Bible teacher, who says that that is not in the Bible?

I wouldn't.

The blood cleanses from that sin and that other sin.
The blood cleanses from the private sin and the public sin.
The blood cleanses from the visible sin and the invisible sin.
The blood cleanses us from the forgivable sin and the seemingly unforgivable sin.

The blood cleanses us from ...[text shortened]... Blood of Jesus

Some say that the only way to really learn is through mistakes. But mistakes don’t necessarily lead to regrets do they.

Was there anything redemptive about the module on Medieval European Politics?

Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

Do you understand that 1 John 1:7 is saying that "the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin" only for those who no longer "walk in darkness" (1:6) and "walk in the light as He is in the light"? Do you understand that "God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all" (1:5)?

Do you understand that only those who no longer commit sin fit that criteria?

Do you understand that only those who no longer commit sin have "fellowship with Him"(1:6)?

I understand the passage by years of personal experience.
And you have no understanding of it.

As we Christians walk in the light we SEE our faults.
We confess our faults and the blood cleanses our conscience.
Then we have greater light to walk in.

As a result of greater light we see even MORE.
We confess these further revealed faults and the blood cleanses our conscience. Then we receive even more penetrating light.

As a result of walking in this MORE penetrating spiritual light, guess what? We notice even MORE faults which previously we were unaware of. We confess these and the blood of Jesus puts our conscience at peace.

It is a cycle.
It is a cycle that lasts a Christian's whole life.

Walking in what light we have.
Fellowship deepens.
Light encreases.
Confession occurs.

It is a cycle. And I learned it and am still learning it by EXPERIENCE. Your nimble intellect and good reading comprehension skills cannot substitute for personal experience.

But you could get some.

I edited my post to make the sources clearer. Please reread it. What I posted is taken from 1 John 1:5-7. Note the "If" conditions. Do you understand "If" conditions? I doesn't seem like you do.
