Some concepts in Revelation are not literal, but metaphors for real things that will come to pass (such as the four horsemen). Some other concepts are very real (such as the AntiChrist and the Mark of the Beast). You can't throw it all into a Cuisinart and expect to make any sense of it that way. You must use discernment.
Your discernment tells you that the teaching of eternal suffering as presented by sonship et al, is incorrect. So we are in alignment.

ISLAMIC STATE (ISIS) Muslim savages kill captured Jordanian pilot by burning him alive in a cage
If this is true, then it appears to me to be a retaliation for the Jordanian pilot raining fire down on the people of ISIS. So it had nothing to do with him being an innocent Christian deserving of a beheading.
This does not seem moral, but i guess you must also consider that this is also war and terrible things happen in war. We could also ask the question was what the pilot did moral? Again we must consider the fact that this is war.
