Yes, I think it is good to talk about ACTUAL tragedies that happen, rather than talk in vague metaphors.
Let's not talk about this or that psalm in the bible, let's look at what is actually happening in the world right now.
I understand that you would rather not discuss this kind of stuff, but this is happening in the world right now, Robbie. Face it.
Christians know that's nonsense.

If God stopped every single tragedy that happened on this planet, for even one day, and it was done in a way that it was obvious that it was God stopping them, then man would finally see that God is alive and well, and this would change the entire meaning and purpose of faith.
No. We're given a free will test. And no, we're not going to be *given* the ...[text shortened]... ling the vehicle.
That we don't, that we (some, anyway) blame God for these things, IS scary.
Did he not allow this to happen?
Do you think he was looking down, whispering to himself "No, no, no, don't do that. That will not end well"?

Man cannot judge God, period.
Yes we can. Period.
Morality is objective, and actions and consequences can be weighted by anyone.
God/s have no get out of jail free card by simply being more powerful.
Might does not make right.
EDIT: Also, on the same note.
If we cannot judge god to be bad then you cannot judge god to be good.
Unless you claim that what god does is good because it is god that is doing it,
in which case you MUST believe that god can declare ANYTHING to be morally good
as an inevitable consequence.
Then you cannot coherently claim that we cannot judge god AND AT THE SAME TIME
claim to know that god is good.
IF we took it as a given that we cannot judge god, then there is no way of determining
if god is good or evil.
