If we are not limiting our approach to God through Jesus we will not come to God.
Jesus didn't say He was telling us about a way to God, He made it personal, He is the Way.
Just using the words is not defining them.

There's no need to stonewall. The thread is about precise definitions not just repeating the words over and over again.

This is a dodge. How do YOU define those words in order that they justify your belief in what the verse says?

Don't run away from the conversation. You have posted several times so John 14:6 is clearly of some interest to you. And yet you've limited your contribution to a kind of statement-of-faith dodge. The OP asks for something very specific.

Could "comes to the Father" mean 'get' everlasting life?

Could "through Me" ["Me" being Jesus] mean doing the things (works, behaviour, morals, love of neighbour and enemies, etc.) that Jesus commanded"?

So, by way of obeying those commandments and being the kind of person Jesus wanted one to be ~ through THAT ~ one can 'get' eternal life [i.e. be with or come to "the Father"].

Is that how you understand it?

If not, how do you define "comes to" God? What does "way" mean exactly? And what is the definition of "through" in this context?

To a degree, Christian faith hinges on the precise definition of the words the OP talks about. Your stock-in-trade facetious response suggests that you are not up to the challenge.

The way is the way to eternal life.
To come through Christ means to follow his commandments.
Through Christ means through his teachings
Therefore if you want eternal life then follow the commandments

Its a sentiment which Jesus expressed many many times.

Eternal life comes by following the commandments of Christ.

It seems that many Christians believe that the "way" to eternal life is by simply believing that they have been forgiven for all their "sins" by Jesus. It surely makes more sense that a "way" to achieve something is through action [i.e. doing things] and not just thinking things.

God made it clear what the "way" to "life" entails in the following :
Ezekiel 33
17“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But it is their way that is not just. 18 If a righteous person turns from their righteousness and does evil, they will die for it. 19 And if a wicked person turns away from their wickedness and does what is just and right, they will live by doing so. 20 Yet you Israelites say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ But I will judge each of you according to your own ways.”

Jesus echoed the above in the following:
Matthew 16
27“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.

John 5
28“Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, 29and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.
