KellyJay you really need to consider the impact that your prevarication has on your profile here.

The topic, as you well know, is about literalism vs symbolism, not about truth. You cannot hide behind “truth” claims.

For example the truth behind the metaphor of the lake of fire exists even though it is a metaphor and not a real lake of fire. Same with the seed in the parable of the sower, there is no real seeds but the truth of the metaphor remains intact.

Your frankly sad efforts to conflate these things is revealing of your intellectual dishonesty. That is what I’m saying.

Pretending you don’t understand is just repellent to be honest with you.

I would worry about hiding truth from them that need to hear it. You are playing with the Word when you accuse me of believing in text as if that is wrong, then a little later acknowledge all scripture truth even the metaphors.
