A papyrus fragment has recently been uncovered wherein Jesus refers to his wife. Harvard Divinity School Professor Karen King said, "This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus was married." Darrell Bock, a senior research professor of New Testament studies at Dallas Theological Seminary confirmed that interpretation by saying, "King's analysis is beyond dispute. This would only change the Roman Catholic view of what some of the Holy Bible is really saying. Most other Christian congregations do not require their Priests or Pastors to be celibate. It has always been speculated that the marriage at which Jesus turned water into wine for the wedding guest was His own wedding because of Mary being so concerned about th eymoon.

Been mentioned before. R.Cs have no problem with priests marrying, as its a church law. Not gods law, which is set in stone

Catholics of course have no issue with married priests per se. There are of course a number of exceptions in which a married man can become a Catholic priest. The norm of mandatory celibacy is only a discipline of the Western church and it can be changed.

I think, however, the idea of Jesus being married does present a christological problem. If Jesus is God, how can he experience erotic love? There has been a huge amount of theological argybargy about Jesus being man and God, and whether he experiences temptation or not. I think a married Jesus would present a number of problems for the doctrine of the hypostasis.

(Of course, why should an Egyptian fragment have any value?)

Furthermore the Harvard professor who released it said this in no way is difinitive proof that Jesus was married.

Personally, its very possible IMO that Jesus was married. Also, that he was not.
It makes no difference to me. Takes nothing away from his message.
