Although I love the chess, I'm beginning to grow weary of the bigotry, dishonesty and duchbaggery from some of the posters here. 8 years will probably be enough.
Not enough reason to be considering suicide I hope?
As for the question, it would seem that a God that proclaims power over life and death and who sets the hour of your death might get offended if you try to cheat the system. The same would apply to murder.

Yes.
It would be not trusting in God who can deliver you out of any circumstance.
If anyone is thinking about driving their car into a motorway bridge keep your seatbelt fastened.
If not you may be thrown clear.
You got to be strapped in when the engine block comes through the dashboard.

Unless that God also provided free will. Then one would not be "cheating the system" as the system would include mechanisms which provided for multiple outcomes.

Isn't that simply an argument for breaking any commandment? That we can do something doesn't mean we should do something. In the case of suicide I can think of circumstances where most humans wouldn't judge it amiss - various medical scenarios, or hopeless situations where it really is the lesser of two evils for example the case of Guy Fawkes who leapt from the scaffold thereby breaking his neck to avoid the nastier parts of drawing and quartering (it is highly likely he was allowed to do this as they'd already stopped one of the other conspirators from jumping), I think being driven to distraction by the posters in these forums doesn't quite reach that level of desperation.
