So I take it that hospitals, and food banks that serve their communities are
right up there with porn sites that show the abuse of children in your
opinion if the motivation behind them has something to do with God? You
really do have a lot of hate in you, you are lumping all the people who have
faith in God in the same group that kills for power.

Actually you are completely wrong here, note that I specified "fundamentalists" - you know, those crazies, like yourself, who take the Bible 100% literally!? They do not represent *all* people who have faith in "G"od.

So you wouldn't force creationism to be taught in a science class along side evolution? You wouldn't force evolution out of the classroom? Seems to me that would be the FIRST thing you would do.

Thanks to groups like the FFRF, I interact with religion as I choose, not as religion chooses for me.

Yes because of the negative attacks on science by the right wing religious nutters in the US and other countries, where there are concerted attacks on the teaching of evolution, attempting to force creationism to be taught in a science classroom.

That is only step one of their agenda and thus it REQUIRES a concerted effort by opposing groups. Without the opposition, the stupid people accepting those kind of positions would win out and there would be another notch in the belt of other countries winning out in the competition with American science.

With the recent upswing in science papers now exceeding the US production of science papers. That would get even further eroded if these asssholes win out, thus the need for opposition groups.

Well I'm not...not quite anyway.

You *are* like that, you believe in the magic fruit theory, you believe in fiery hell - you surely believe everything that's written in the Bible to be true.

k, I'm done now 😵

With fundamentalist Christians constantly trying to legislate their agenda into law, yes.

Oh please I have just been called someone on par with murders and other
crimes here just a few posts ago simply for believing in scripture. You and
others here have lumped a lot of good people into the same group that would
murder and kill all of us if we didn't agree with them. I have never treated
you like that, and you have really smeared me and several good people who
have given their lives to the service of others.

You get a few people, or even a lot of them who want things you disagree
with and you now feel justified in lumping everyone together who has God
in their lives with murders. There are a few here I'd say go off and attack
others on this board negatively, but friend you are as bad in these posts as
anyone I've ever seen. So if it was bad when someone with religion in their
lives does it and you condemn them for it, you are no better.

Everyone wants to write the law as they see fit, those with and without
God. It has always been that way, you are just making that the center
point now, and not looking at the laws on their merits only.

Laws which do not require a special appeal to religion are fine. Both the Christian and atheist are against murder, for example. But laws which require an appeal to religion, or that seek to enshrine a particular religious point of view, must be guarded against. The FFRF is one group seeking to maintain that wall of separation between church and state.

It should be noted that this is not the same thing as trying to destroy or eradicate religion.

Well that I agree with, all laws have to stand on their own merit. The issues
will arise when someone forces another to do something against their will.

How do you feel about government forcing people to act against their own
belief systems? That cuts both ways you know, where someone of faith can
have their lives stamped on by the government too.
