A recent global survey conducted by National Geographic shows that the worlds fastest growing religion is not Islam or Christianity, but no religion at all – atheism.

The study refers to atheists as “religious nones” or people who do not follow or identify with any religion. According to the results, atheism is now the second largest religious affiliation in North America and the majority of Europe. In the United States alone approximately 22.8% of the population now identifies as atheist, up 6.7% from 2007. Furthermore, U.S. atheists now represent a larger portion of the population than Catholics, Protestants, and all other followers of non Christian faiths – such as Islam and Buddhism. This was not the case only a decade ago.

And some of these atheists will enter the Kingdom of God.

(For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)

Perhaps this can be my Contingency Plan B.

The works of the law is written in the hearts of men.
The light of Christ is in all men.
The knowledge of good and evil is bred into all of Adams descendants.
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world.
All people have been saved from the condemnation of inherited sin by the death of Christ

Jesus did His part.
To enter the Kingdom of God man has a part to do
Some come with their faith alone
Some come with their works alone
Some with both faith and works.
Jesus will judge.
My money is on those who live righteously and do good works

James said:

What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? (James 2:14 KJV)

Paul said :

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity. (1 Corinthians 13:13 KJV)

Peter, John, Jude and Jesus Christ ... same thing.

Faith should be a stepping stone into a life of righteousness but many see faith as an end in and of itself and proceed no further.

So its a good Plan A as well. 🙂

Atheists will enter the Kingdom of God? Is that more of the gospel (little g) according to rajk? Have a gander at these verses, amigo:

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

(John 3:16-18)

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

(John 14:6)

“Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

(1 John 2:22-25)

Jesus Christ said atheists go to heaven? Paul said that? The Apostles said that? The Bible says that?

Where in the Bible does it say atheists go to heaven? Or are you once again misinterpreting the Scriptures because you don’t have God’s Holy Spirit indwelling you and guiding you?

So whether God exists is now determined by a popularity contest? Good grief.

🙄

Jesus Christ foretold that in the last days people would turn away from God.

Sad!

Since surveys and probability are important, then by all means, let's look at the numbers:

Christians
2.2 billion

Atheists
450-500 million

And that's not counting all non-atheists... just Christians alone.

I hear Muslims brag all the time that they are the fastest growing religion. I always come away feeling like I was just approached by a used car salesman with the short tie and the suit 2 sizes too small.

You seem to be in a competition with Thread Killer.

You’ll never beat my record of being the last poster in 24 of the first 25 threads. That was amazing and a record that likely will stand for decades.

Indeed. 1 Corinthians 13:13 -'And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity' ties in beautifully with 'Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.'

'Love for others' is the soul of the Gospels, and this love is best shown in the way we treat each other, irrespective of our religious persuasion or divine lip service.

Love for God enables love for neighbors - real self-sacrificing love. I think that is why Jesus put love for God first when asked which is the greatest commandment.

Unless I’m mistaken, that position is actually Biblical (as far as immortality.) The only difference is atheists and Christ deniers will be praying to die but death will constantly elude them.

Be careful what you wish for.

Anything the government pushes will become what most believe. As long as we have public service announcements and public schools we will always have government driven beliefs. Of course I am talking about society as a whole.
