claiming to have seen spaceships and aliens.
There have been famous sightings in the UK in the past as well, such as at Rendlesham Forest(spelling?). Bonnybridge in Scotland is well-known for sightings as well.

An extra-terrestrial in a ufo may appear as a fairy riding a dragon to someone in China or whatever , so it doesn't go down as a ufo report.

Also the American government is arguably the most powerful in the world so it makes sense to make contact and try to change the US citizens.
It truly is a fascinating field of research

Yeah, this is far, far to the south, over at least one small mountain range. I imagine its only connection with the 'Phoenix Lights' was to provide an excuse for 'what people saw'.

I'm of the opinion that most of these are 'black ops'... craft the US have built using reverse-engineering of the Roswell craft, very secret, and they may use an 'anti-grav' propulsion system. It kind of begs the question, "Why is NASA still using inefficient chemical rockets?"
Also, I doubt the Army was involved at all. Most military aircraft exercises involve the Air Force, Navy or Marines. The Army might fly a few squadrons of helicopters in narrow roles (mostly Army Reserve), but those are minimal compared to the other branches.

Show a picture of a ufo to an American and he'll say 'it's a flying saucer', or 'it's a ufo'. I think it's pretty demeaning to say that a Chinese person would say it's a 'fairy riding a dragon', when clearly it's not any such thing. Even the Chinese live in the 21st Century.

To put it in perspective, A-10s are not based in Phoenix (Luke AFB). When I was going to school in Tucson, the A-10s from Dav ...[text shortened]... ma, F/A-18s and AV-8B Harriers). It's probably a good 100 miles at least SW of Phoenix.
