I am vegetable, mineral, and (not so much these days) animal.

1. Are you a human food item? No.
2. Can you be worn? No.
3. Are you a rug? No.
4. Would you be found in the average bathroom? No.
5. Are you perfume? No.
6. Could I light you? No.
7. Are you phosphorescent (bioluminescent)? No.
8. Do people object to you being of animal origins these days? Yes.
9. Does the present-day you require electricity for your use or function?
>> No, electricity is not necessarily required.
10. Are you the material used for making 'catgut' sutures
>> or the strings for stringed musical instruments? No.
11. Are you assembled in a factory by humans or robots? Yes.
12. Are you an item found on the floor (or a flat surface) in many private homes?
>> Not really. I'm sure there are some, but I wouldn't say "many."
13. If I were to see, hear, taste, smell, or touch you, would it be obvious to me
>> that you contained animal product (e.g., without research I wouldn't know
