I'll second this choice however there are some very difficult lines for black (the Rb1 lines) which I don't yet have a line against that I like.
The nimzo is a very very solid choice of many grandmasters and is fairly easy to play.

e6 inviting French. Even if the invitation is declined, most commonly by 2.c4, you can still (sometimes) mimic french lines without too much danger.

This game was very interesting at the end there.... up until move 12 I played a very good game... but for some reason white dropped his knight, but still, I was able to refute the attacks on my king side even though half of my pieces were trapped on the queen side.
