Seeing as my opponent's too modest to post this, behold the fork to end all forks - every major piece and the king...

Your thread title setup so many punchlines! 🙂
10) You never let me do it from the 8th rank.
9) Last time I did, my Knight came back with spots.
8) I was afraid my Bishop would get trapped.
7) Don't want to have to make any more pawn support payments.
6) You'll just complain that a black Knight would have been taller.
5) If I play one blitz game, you'll expect a whole tournament.
4) My pawn doesn't have any lead in it (it fell out, honestly, it did)
3) Recently polished the Bishop and it's not quite ready for a new game.
2) Rumor has it that you'll spread your Rooks for anyone.
And finally... the NUMBER ONE reason I declined to fork you:
*drum roll*
1) I couldn't get my pawn to promote.

With all these reasons, I guess he'll just have to go fork himself!

Nice. Not to take anything away from your opponent's move, but he could have played 25 N e6 and they your dark squared bishop would have been forked as well!

Why is it that in both games posted, the one who's forked waits until after the queen is captured to resign? As if that's not the obvious move?
1) a neat move or combo deserves to be played out.
2) As SwissGambit points out I had the odd latent threats going and was still trying to work out if I could make any of them work. From that position if black could find a way to getting two pieces for the queen, drop both on the open files and coordinate both bishops then all is not lost.
3) the gg thing
Chessicle: interesting game, now please teach me how to forget!
