I know, sorry, just hate it when I post some crap in public!! I thought I saw a mate in 3 involving a Queen sac at f8 but that was if black took with the King, I forgot we could take with the rook.

I'll take this opportunity to say good work to blindcheesecake who has kept this game going for so long! Cheers.

1. Qxe7 fxe7 2. Nc6 Rd7? 3. Re8 Bf3? 4.Nxe7 Rxa7
......after this We have lost an A-pawn for an E-pawn (which was doubled up anyway)

1. Nc6 Qxe5 2. Nxe5 Ra4? 3. Bb5 Rxa6 4. Nc6 Rb7
.........After this, again, we have lost the A-pawn, adding to that, we also stand to lose the B-pawn

I don't really like eithier of these options but moves have to be made...so, unless someone can show me a better line for black and/or a stronger continueation than the ones shown here my vote is Qxe7

What happens after 1... Qxe7 2. fxe7 Nc6 3. Re4?

Looks like black has to take the pawn with the knight or lose the rook?

Re8?

In endgames, the most important thing is to activate your king. That'll be very hard with his pawn on f6, so I vote Qxe7.

If White Played Re4 we would have the advantage!

- after Re8 (forced) we have 2 attackers targeting e7

we must be careful however of Ba4

Good posts, both of you, I was just testing 😉

😳

Shakukr makes a good point regarding our King, he's utterly useless where he is. So, to backtrack a little, I would like to change my vote please - Qxe7 I just hope we can cope with that dangerous pawn.

If By "Dangerous Pawn" you mean the one that will move to e7, check out the line(s) I provided, it is easily defended against (nc6 prvents all the back rank pins, etc), however, in doing so we might end up losing the A-pawn......

so, I guess all were doing to slowing down our demise, I'm sure the bishop Duo will make themselves very useful later on

You can write it;

2r3k1/p3Qp1p/bp3Pp1/n3q3/3R4/P2pP3/1P1B2PP/3B2K1

Just say what you see, white's are capitals, start from the top left square and separate each row with a '/'.......

You take an actual board, set up the position and then play out the position.

You use a chess program, go to set up position, set up the position and then move the pieces around.

You find an online site, and paste the FEN in and then move the pieces around.

Pick one, I prefer the actual board. I like moving real pieces around. Feels more like OTB.
