I don't think it can be a game on rhp as we're playing against Chessmaster.

I vote 24..Qe5 too.

Can someone tell me how to get to the latest move instead of going to page 20 and arrowing onwards to the most recent viewsa dn analyses and also maybe the board as folk are saying with the current position on it (from the black side?) . Thanks for setting this up blindcheesecake and know time is short most likely for us all. If we kept this up even if we lose this or draw or win it has been useful for me to hear others views in English rather than just the analysis to see what they think when first confonted with a position and maybe in time we could get a master to help more to delve into positions more accurately if they had time and the interest I guess.

From the thread list, click on the date last posted rather than the thread title. That will take you to the last page, where you will, at most, only have to arrow a couple of pages.

Obviously 1...Rxc8 is the only move here (what move is that btw?). After 1...Bxc8?? white mates in 4. 2.Qxf8+ Kxf8 3.Rd8+ Qe8 4.Bb4+ Kg8 5.Rxe8#

I managed to work out a mate in 3 because I am an idiot and didn't look at the board for long enough. My latest book 'How to make a fool of yourself for dummies' will be on the shelves from Monday with a foreword written by JoniG.

Vote: Rxc8

Reasons the same as the post above.

I think this misses the point of the game....

the idea was for everyone (of different strengths) to learn, by reading, editing, adding to, refuting, (etc) the idea's of others.....

oh as for voting,

Rc8

since white next move will be Rd8 (mate next move)
I think the knight fork is okay, it also defends the d8 square.
Besides, that leaves white for the queen exchange.

my vote, Nc6

Yep, I don't see any other move here other than Nc6, an exchange of Queens from White next I imagine. This reminds me of another thread about luck in chess - an example here of luck, that the knight, after being stuck out on the flank all game, is able to land on a square which saves our a55?? (for the time being anyway)

I digress, my vote: Nc6
