I've never tried it. Has anyone here ever played blindfold chess?

    Nope.

I try to see a board and pieces with my eyes closed but I can't. 😔

I can get through the first 8 - 10 moves in my mind, as well as see well known positions, but can't make it through an entire game before things become confused.

If I play a game OTB I can replay all of the moves from memory and it does impress lower rates players but it's not hard to do.

I can only do that for the last game played though.
If I try to do it for multiple games I played I get memory lapses and mistakes.

Many years ago the blindfold chessmaster , George Koltanowski , explained to me that the quadrant idea was how he played blindfold simultaneous exhibitions . It is mind boggling to imagine playing 12 blindfold games at the same time . One game I can handle easily .

I was able to only play 3 games blindfold at once.
    I won 2 and drew 1.

Just do a Philidor and visualise when you have trouble sleeping- Philidor demonstrated his ability to play up to three blindfold games simultaneously with great success, with newspapers highlighting his achievement, having taught himself to visualize the board while in bed at night when he had trouble sleeping.

Yesterday I put my queen on b3 and my opponent took it with his Bishop.

    I resigned.

Blindfold chess is the least of my problems 😔
