A Festive Blog with a nice study (mate in 10) from Vladimir Korolkoc
whose chess compositions very often had a pleasant comical touch.

White to play and mate in 10 (solution in the blog - give it a go.)

    A Chess Christmas Cracker Joke.

Construct a Game Challenge. Construct a game where White gives
a checkmate with an under promoted Rook and there must be a White
Queen sacrifice (the Queen is not allowed to move) all in seven moves.
Amazingly we have am RHP Game that does this with plausible moves.

A learn from the Good Guys featuring Magnus Carlsen and Mickey Adams.
With RHP games showing where they failed and the Good Guys did not.

Thanks for the post. I especially enjoyed finding the mate in 10.

It's a fork in the road, a road fork. (it's awful but that is what it is.)

    Thanks Liljo,

I have finished the first one for 2022 but am going to post it within seconds after
midnight on the 31st December to be the first to post a blog anywhere next year.

I think you underestimate @greenpawn34, I'm sure he is on his way to the Pacific, to ensure he is the first blogger of 2022.

I never thought about that. Maybe I should have sent my blog to someone in
New Zealand (Nelly Milligan stays there, I'm sure she would have done it for me.)
It's too late now. (never mind - I'll post just after midnight my time.)
