PAWN RIOT has just submitted 8.Qd2, leading to the following position.

8. ... Nc6 seems to be the most common move. Then white has a choice between 9.Bc4 (where both sides launch attacks) and 9.0-0-0 (oops 🙂 the positional approach).

My vote is for

9. Qd2 is an illegal move. I suggest that if he does move so, we stop the clocks to complain to the arbiter. This will at least buy us some extra time to decide on moves.
