When this life ends for each of us, we will all be dead. You can bet on it.

I predict that most of what is going on right now will soon be forgotten.
Well that would depend on "most" this kind of disruption will be on memory.

How things will be judged in retrospect will be a different story.

Most of the people dying from covid-19 would have died anyway.
In the way that we all do (I predict no active poster in the forum is around in 100 years time) or that only dying people (imminent death in the next few eeks) succumb?

I don't like what I said there - 'will soon be forgotten'. I think I meant that as soon as it is possible, we will try to find ways so that life can go on and we will look forward again.

    I predict:

It won’t be “over” but it will alleviate.

Facebook will be flooded with nauseating profile pic updates, humanity love memes and finger-licking accounts of faux stoicism.
And the most insidious measures taken by our rapacious, neo-conservative governments will remain in place. Not as overtly as they are now, but they'll keep the power they've grabbed.

I predict that many businesses will never be reopened either because the owner died or because he went broke while it was closed.

It'll be a whole new economic era with big biz and individuals looking to dig out of a huge financial hole.
Oh, big business won't be digging. Big business is already making sure they'll be on top of the hole.

Everybody will remember the granny who died because she wouldn't stay at home. Nobody will remember the shopkeeper who committed suicide because too many of his young customers did stay at home so he couldn't feed his family any more.

They've done that for decades, and been fine with it. Never heard the blunder "We're not a democracy, we're a republic"?
