@divegeester saidYeah, I believe you. >snerk<
No that’s not why I want thumbs removed at all.
No one else does, though.

@divegeester saidPlease. Stop bullsh--ting everyone.
I love criticism of myself, I enjoy it, I love debate, conflict, dissent.
But I can’t stand this weedy cliquey infantile gang-thumbing and the subsequent “oh look how many thumbs down that post got” from pricks like you, very Rusty, woofpoof etc which just sends a thread into a s**t-storm of off topic BS.

@fmf saidBwahahahahaha!!
No, Suzianne, "infantile" really is the point. Your repeated suggestion that I "cannot handle criticism" is not "the point". It's just something you are saying. Indeed, I have been "handling criticism" with an awful lot more aplomb than you have been for years and years.
That's why you lay into @KellyJay constantly, from thread to thread to thread to... well you get the idea.
@fmf saidAt least give me credit for having a sensible reason for opposing the dismantling of this feature. One man's opinion that a feature is infantile is not a sensible reason to remove the feature many adults here use daily.
Thank you. I get that you don't want to see the feature dismantled.
Dive lobbied (successfully) to get the alert function emasculated so he would see fewer alerts, and now you're trying to emasculate the thumbs feature for the same reason. Two men's vanity is turning this web site's forums into their personal echo chamber. It is no way a betterment of the web site, when two people dictate terms.
@moonbus saidThere was no “lobbying” by me and the decision on what happened to the alert function wasn’t mine it was Russ’ decision. Perhaps you should write him an email expressing your dissatisfaction with how he is running his own website and see how far you get. Hey, maybe start a poll!

By the way the reason Russ took punitive action with the alerts function was because it was being abused by the same group of small-minded individuals who also abuse the thumb function.
