I quit school in the first grade. I got tired of reading and re-reading the Tom, Dick and Jane books. When the teacher told us to pick up a previously re-read TD&J book I simply dropped it on the floor, walked out to the cloakroom and got my coat and walked out of the building and was trucking across the schoolyard headed for home when the teacher finally caught up with me and asked me WTH? I told her I was quitting and she informed me I wasn't allowed to.

I thought "What a gyp..." and went back to class.
