Everyone makes mistakes. Kasparov once famously said women couldn't play chess either, till Judit Polger pounded him. I guess Jerry Lewis wasn't paying attention to Lucille Ball or

Walter Becker of Steely Dan has died at 67.
I've tried to find a good video of him playing but he was a guitarist who seemed happy to blend into the background even though he was a founder member of the band.

Only heard now that Brian Aldiss has died. I did enjoythe Helliconia trilogy.

Jerry Pornell, widely known as co-author with Larry NIven has died.
