The US Supreme Court decided today, June 24, 2022, to overturn Roe v. Wade, which has for decades secured a woman's right to choose what happens to her own body, after a lingering, slow death. The decision was passed by a bi-partisan Court, 7-2, 49 years ago last January.. Today's decision was passed along party lines, 6-3.

This latest SC decision returns the issue of abortion to the states, which can now pass whatever draconian laws against women's bodily sovereignty they want. The purpose of Roe v. Wade was to secure this right for women as an unalienable right, regardless of location of residence. This signals, for women, a return to the Dark Ages of second-class citizen status, especially poor women and women of color.

    Roe v. Wade, January 22, 1973 - June 24, 2022.
I now live in a state which clearly disrespects women.
We're seeing Step One to an American Taliban, the worst kind of theocracy.

Thankfully, there's still time to stop this runaway train before we become a pure dystopia, but it's on us.

We get the government we deserve.

Sonny Barger founder of "Hells Angels" (is there an apostrophe missing?).

Never had heard of the guy before, but his death is notable enough to have made it into German news...
