Swedish writer Gunilla Bergström, who created and drew the fantastic Alfons Åberg books, has passed away on Thursday, the 26th day of August, 2021. Million kids across the globe loves her stories.
Lee “Scratch” Perry, the eccentric, revolutionary Jamaican producer, songwriter and performer whose influence extended far beyond his historic role in the development of reggae music, died Sunday at a hospital in Lucea, Jamaica at age 85. No cause of death was immediately given.
The news was confirmed in a tweet from Jamaica’s prime minister, Andrew Holness.
I hadn't seen this earlier.
And so another great has passed.
When I think of JP.
I think of him as a kind of "French Paul Newman".
Mostly because of his role along with Alain Delon in "Borsalino".
I kind of imagine a French "Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid".
But, the role which I'll always remember him for most will be the performance with Jean Seberg in "Breathless". A timeless classic!

"Uncle" Clive Sinclair was indirectly responsible for a great part of my achievements and skills. Without him, I wouldn't have been into computers, wouldn't have learned English as thoroughly, wouldn't have been into text adventures, would therefore not have read The Hobbit and in the decades since anything from Chaucer to Wodehouse to Ulysses, would not have known G & S and therefore not started singing opera...
There is a reason my avatar is what it is. Thank you, Uncle Clive, for everything.
