Okay, but let's get real here.

It's just yeast, right?

I wouldn't eat a jar of yeast if you paid me.
A yeast infection on toast? 🤔

No thanks.

And caviar is just fish eggs Cmon suzianne slap it on some bread .
‘To tell you honestly’ I think it began as a marketing exercise for brewing companies to make money out of what was left of the yeast after the brewing process which makes sense because I tend to eat a lot of it after the beer drinking process 🍺
Okay, yeah, that makes sense, companies saying, hey yeah, look, we'll put some of this in a jar and people will stand in line to buy some. People will eat some strange stuff.

I mean, come on, I don't eat menudo, either.

Some things just weren't meant to be eaten.

That’s marmite / vegemite for you, you either love it or you hate.
I love it

I have tried both Marmite and Vegemite.
(But not the New Zealand version)

I like them both. They are very similar but not the same in taste or texture. I found that marmite is slightly sweeter and has a thinner texture than vegemite.

Warning! They taste nothing like a jam, jelly, or peanut butter. They are yeast extract and they are salty. Marmite has a somewhat sweeter aftertaste, while Vegemite has a slightly bitter aftertaste, in my opinion.

I am sure you can find both on ebay or amazon if you are unable to find them locally.

If you have not tried them, I strongly suggest that you start by putting a very very thin spread of either one on a hot slice of plain white buttered toast. Did I mention that it should be a thin spread? Seriously, trust me on this! Start as thin as possible! If you decide that you like it, you can always put it on a little thicker next time.

Also, there are plenty of idiots doing youtube taste tests out there. The majority of them are doing it totally wrong and are a waste of your time to even watch.

I don't trust people who hate Marmite. (Or people who like carrot cake).

Well I have to agree they are mutually exclusive. I don’t mind the cake bit cos it usually has walnuts in it, it’s whatever that is that they put on top of it, I just scrape it off and use it for grouting at a later date.
But people who eat carrot cake would probably tend to fudge things.

The big 'no-no,' of course, is to put Marmite 'on' the carrot cake.

All of it, or just the bit about carrot cake eaters having a tendency to fudge things ?
