I think my wife is a potential murderer

I think my wife is a potential murderer

For the past year, maybe longer, my wife has been obsessed with "true crime" shows, specifically the ones involving murderers. She spends hours watching crimes being broken down and reconstructed; she's fascinated by the criminal mind, what makes them tick, and also how they were caught.

Kidding around, I asked my wife is she thought she could get away with murder if she wanted to. Without pause, she responded "well, it's all about getting rid of the body. Without a victim, there's not much they can do to investigate".

That...bothered me. I think my wife could kill me and get away with it.

Is there somewhere in your house where your body could be hidden?

No one would ever find mine near the washing machine.

And what is it with women and "true crime" shows anyway? Why are women obsessed with this?

I happened to watch part of an episode with my wife, where a homicide detective recalled how his wife (who also watches "true crime" shows) suggested how a gunman could've snuck into a house without being spotted. The homicide detective rolled his eyes at his wife's suggestion coming from something she saw on TV; but he then said that the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.

And sure enough, when looked into it, the method his wife suggested checked out, and helped with building a case against his suspect.

I can only wonder what kind of information my wife has in her head.

Dude...don't actually post a location where someone could get away with hiding your murdered body.

Your wife is a psychopath.
That's why I broke up with her.
Is the sex still good?

I can only speak for my wife, who says she watches these shows to get ideas for her book; one about government sanctioned murder, spying, code breaking, and multi dimensional travel. I doubt she's a potential murderer though, since she has little to gain from taking down a medical billing geek who spends his spare time doing hatha yoga and chess tactics training -

one of my wives, I forget which one, actually tried to kill me

We have Godwin's Law.

We need a Grauniad's Law.

If you ever think of re-marrying any of them, it may be a good idea to know who.
