You are too generous Drew.
When people tell me what they want I tell them I will get it for them in the January sales. Then hope they forget about it.
Women rarely forget.
I knew someone who used to buy next year’s Christmas presents in the January sales and I ALSO knew someone who’d return say, a new Christmas jumper to M&S, get the refund and then buy it back at the sale price. She once even had me standing around, supposedly waiting for the assistant to put the very same jumper back out for sale then quickly grab it and buy it for her 😮

Looks like there are the ones shopping early and those shopping late (and then there are those who don't shop at all)

Mine’s done! Got a new phone for one son and a £100 gift voucher for my other son & his partner to use in a lovely new seafood restaurant in a local country pub.

And how do I get away with only having to buy 2 Christmas presents? It’s the consequence of growing up in a large family of 8; we all decided to just buy for our own family because it was getting so silly and expensive 🙂

I think this is the normality now. My family was similar, it went form buying gifts to everyone, to doing a secret santa to knowing who your secret santa was and asking them what they wanted to buying nothing.

I will take my family out for brunch to celebrate three birthdays in December - my daughter's 5th Dec, my great-granddaughter 9th and my own 10th. That's my Christmas gift to the family, 8 people.
That’s kinda cheating isn’t it…combining Xmas and birthdays together?🤔😲
