Hello everybody

It is with the greatest of pleasure that i announce the results of the 2016 RHP Prose Competition.

This year there was a slight twist in that some people were able to vote anonymously through PM'ing me (i didn't enter a piece and asked a group of people whether they could be counted or not) - The twist didn't impact on the final positions though.

I would like to thank all the writers who entered - especially the newer writers this year (including two posters who i know that have had to enter in a language which isn't their mother tongue!)

Anyway positions 12-4 were (authors remain anonymous unless they wish to come forward)

11= Smart House 1 point
Three Strikes, You're Out! 1 point
10. Sublime Concerto 2 points
9. Golden Day 3 points
7. Roller Skaters, Old Style 12 points
= Fellini 12 points - identical sets of 5,3 and 1
6. A sad story about unsent story for RHP 2016 Prose Competition 16 points
5. The Maid 18 points
4. Emily and Sheila 20 points

Onto the top three

In EQUAL 2nd place - identical 5s,3s and 1s so these couldn't be separted are:

~~~~~~Girl from the hills by Drewnogal and I am a Fax Machine by mike 169 both previous winners and both with 27 points~~~~~~~
This year's winner by quite some margin with 50 points was The Last sip of Coffee by newbie to the competition Ghost of a Duke - Massive congratulations.
Well done all
I humbly give thanks to everyone who voted, and also to the other writers who's work i really enjoyed reading.
Thanks also goes of course to Silverstriker. (And above all, to the existence of coffee).
