30 million you retire.
Anything over is taken.
If you lose any it's your fault.
Anything under 30 million total wealth and you can keep going.
All assets are in the total...not just cash.

It could work 🤔
So can I invest the 30 million that I have made at age 25? or are investments illegal?

The way he has it written - " total wealth", assets would be counted and investments are an asset.

Amazon claims that they farm so much of their orders out to small companies, that they are responsible
for the hiring of over a million people. These greedy ignorant people think that cutting Bezos' balls off
is the way to go. Ya. How large would Amazon have grown to then? But all the greedy ones see
is that Bezos is rich! idiots. Complete idiots. Even China allows people to be billionaires because they know
that the system WORKS.

@Earl-of-Trumps
My point is that what the blazes happens in their deluded world when you reach this magic number. What are you meant to do with the money. If you spend some, can you earn more. what if you lose some. i.e house values drop,What happens if your house goes up in value, Damn, what then. The idea is so blatantly stupid I believe that Very Musty is just messing. no-one can be that stupid.

@Very-Musty
The U.S. needs a fair and progressive tax system. Currently billionaires can legally pay very little or zero in federal taxes.
"In 2007, Jeff Bezos, then a multibillionaire and now the world’s richest man, did not pay a penny in federal income taxes. He achieved the feat again in 2011. In 2018, Tesla founder Elon Musk, the second-richest person in the world, also paid no federal income taxes. Michael Bloomberg managed to do the same in recent years. Billionaire investor Carl Icahn did it twice. George Soros paid no federal income tax three years in a row."
I do not advocate limiting how much an individual can earn but they need to pay their fair share of taxes. They were able to amass that wealth because the rest of us footed the bill for the infrastructure that allowed them to be successful: roads, and an educated and skilled workforce.
I highly recommend reading the complete ProPublica article.

Growing the middle class requires a living minimum wage, access to quality health care, and access to quality education from per-school through graduate school, regardless of your zip code, socioeconomic status or race.

I use Amazon all the time, but I seriously doubt it's impact on the economy has been good for small and medium sized businesses as do the owners of small businesses:

"The research, conducted by OnePoll in conjunction with Lendio, found the biggest obstructions owners faced as an SBO revolved around a challenging economy, while hiring talented employees and general financial concerns proved the top three challenges. Two out of three small business owners say large corporations, such as Amazon and Google, have a negative impact on their growth opportunities."

heehehehe, you'd be amazed, Jimmac, truly.

Did you ever see those silver coin commercials that promise you that silver is going up in value?
Suuuuuure. That is why *some people* chose to spend a lot of money on an advertisement informing you of such,
and not investing their money in silver! What bull. But... greedy people believe out of shear greed and then get fleeced by said company.

Like P.T. Barnum once famously said, "there's a sucker born every minute".

But nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, say the communists. Cut his balls off!!

IF Amazon's market power makes it harder for small businesses to survive and thrive, how does that enhance "freedom"?

Kill yhe Golden Goose. Note that liberals never have a good response to posts such as this. It is very clear. These libs would love to bankrupt or throw in jail Jeff Bezos. They don’t think a thing about the jobs that he has created, it is more important to get rid of him. This is a fact.

Make him step aside, and let handy Andy and Franny and all of you run things. Ha Ha

Because FREEDOM means, people can CHOOSE.

If Bezos is smart enough to get his product to the people CHEAPER and the people choose Amazon,
then THAT is the expression of freedom in the FREE MARKET system.

If one race car in the Indianapolis 500 auto race is faster than all the others, do you cut off the balls of the driver?

Jeeeezus, stupid question, of course you would.

Of course it's a fact.. I already posted that Amazon has 65,000 employees and have farmed work out
to other businesses that created over ONE MILLION Jobs.

How did the socialist No1Marauder respond? by linking a story about how the competition does not like Amazon!!
So in other words, if Bezos raised his prices and let the competition thrive, they'd rather that. Jeeeeeeeeeeezus

LOL! And these people are freeking SERIOUS. They'll manufacture a way to cut Bezos' balls off, believe me.

I realize most right wingers are incredibly ignorant of economics, so your answer doesn't surprise me.

But its ECO 101 that if one firm is able to command a substantial enough of the market so that others are discouraged from entering it, prices will invariably rise. And economic barriers to entry which block small businesses from being opened and/or being successful obviously reduce freedom.

This is an inevitable feature of unregulated capitalism which is why that system invariably fails.

Your ignorance is noted. If a million small businesses are forced out of business because of Amazon, how many jobs are created?

Right wingers are too ideologically blind to see the whole picture.
