@Metal-Brain saidIt's unclear; NY is more friendly to double jeopardy claims regarding out of State charges than almost all other States, so it's possible he might prevail here.
I expect you to be right about the judge. But do you expect all appeals to the higher courts to reject it?
But I'm pretty sure the Federal judge is going to sentence him to life anyway in December, so I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes.
@no1marauder saidWhy are they trying to punish him twice?

@AverageJoe1 saidYour childish tantrums on this topic are exposing you for the moron you are.
First I sincerely apologize , off topic. But being floored by the MB’s mangione comments, I thought you should know what he is about. Then, that led me to asking what YOU think, should Mangine die for his act.
Funny thing, MB answer referenced insurance, and YOUR answer referenced ‘the State’
To you both: the question was what YOU think in each respective case.
Pitiful . Why can’t you get it?
You're like the the guest star in a Columbo episode who throws a fit near the end of the show and ends up explaining that he's the only one who could have murdered the victim. He's proud of his logic until he realizes he's just sent himself to prison.
@Metal-Brain saidYea he could get off. Who needs outside help from insurnace companies, MB.
There you go lying again. I never suggesting anyone go easy on him. I suggested he might get away with murder because the health insurance industry in this country fears what a trial would reveal. In other words, the health insurance industry would find itself on trial in his defense so they let him and his lawyers get to say "double jeopardy so you cannot prosecute him again". If the judge and courts agrees he walks.
Stop making up BS lies!
And he could 'get off',,,'go free' by a nay vote of a female jury who loves thick eyebrows. Why don't you start a thread on the Mangione trial.
Will you acknowledge that that is not what I am talking about? Our most liberal poster Marauder....I asked him if Mangione should be executed for shooting a man with intent in the back. Murder. He would not answer the questioin and went off like you do with a bunch of unrelated scenarios and garbage.
SO, I tempered it by asking if I shoot your uncle in the back, should I be executed. He said no. So there you have it.
You are right. If Marauder or the lovestruck girl are on the jury, Mangione walks, goes over to Marauder's house to visit his family

@AverageJoe1 saidI answered the question, you babbling moron. "Anyone" would include Mangione, wouldn't it?

Mangione isn't going to get the death penalty or "walk". He's pled guilty in Federal Court to two counts, the maximum sentence for each is life in person, which he's highly likely to get. And assuming NY proceeds with a trial, we don't have a death penalty.
And for clarity, one juror can't acquit a defendant. The most a holdout could do is force a mistrial, as supposedly happened at the Clancy trial. The prosecution can, and usually does esp. in a murder case, proceed to a second trial.
@no1marauder saidSeems like Marauder is true to form, I wrote one simple question above. He and his sidekick MB want to write instead about THE CASE! They should start a thread on the Mangione Murder Trial. It can begin with Marauder's 'prediction' above, if anyone cares.

You really are a complete idiot, aren't you? You specifically mentioned the Mangione case in your second post here. If you don't care about it, why TF did you do so?
@no1marauder saidIs this dude a card carrying MAGA? Buddy with Trump? He could get a federal pardon if he sucked up to Trump enough. Don't know if they have any connection though.

@no1marauder saidI used his murder of a man as an example of someone who should be executed. What is so difficult about you today ? So he murdered a man in cold blood, average Joe asked marauder “should he be executed “ and Marauder took 10 days to answer answer the question.
I responded to it in the NEXT POST.

Yes, the charges brought against him later evolved into a case. But I’m talking about what he did prior to the case coming into existence. Do you follow now?
Don’t you see, his shooting a man in the back has nothing to do with a resulting case.
Suzanne, will you explain this to him? Not you son house.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou will never give up the role of Trump propagandist and BTW it makes you look like MUCH MORE of an idiot than you really are.
Asked you to not write back, enough insipidness for the day. Yes I will go spar with Sunhouse, much more interesting.
@AverageJoe1 saidTrump is all about propaganda.
I support Trump. I would never support propaganda, so I’ll call you out as a liar.!!!!!! Yeah, take that.
His own propaganda. Not facts.
@Suzianne saidI quite disagree

He will hit 30 states between now and midterms . Fun for all of us if you would run a thread listing any and all propaganda with each of his hour-and-a-half speeches 'on the trail'
@AverageJoe1 saidI sure hope he does and every Republican in a swing State or district stands right next to him kissing his ass.

@AverageJoe1 saidJesus. Dumb arse.
I did not ask about the process or procedure of the State
Would you want me to be executed for shooting your uncle in the back.?
I can ask you an easier question to work into this question if you would like.
