They (he/she) does seem to take the opposing view of whatever anybody says. I've always...ok, not really always because I rarely venture into this forum...wondered why.
Yeah and it's not just Duchess, it's all of the liberal "woke" crowd that haunts the Debate Forum here. They take the most minor things and make a BFD out of it to try to make someone look stupid or uneducated so they can act all smug and superior. I've noticed it's a common trait among the left wing wine-and-cheese set bunch.

I don't believe I've ever seen Duchess agree with anyone, on anything. It generally takes little time to get to the troll, and the hurling insults bit.

That said, it can be very amusing and entertaining at times.

Duchess can't even agree with Mother Nature about his/her gender.

Canada? Don't mention Canada!
We have enough immigrants as it is.
Well, not everywhere in Canada is Southern Ontario. Where I used to live (very remote), was grateful for the investment in the local community that my family provided at that time, and for the re-invigoration that immigrants provided to otherwise disparate communities suffering from skills shortages. As I recall, the nearest town (very small) had a respected young doctor from the Philippines. Canada lets in skilled immigrants and likes to make them do time in the "have-not" provinces, where they are a major asset.

Well, there are still plenty of immigrants (probably the majority) in places like Ontario and British Columbia. And there's no reason to believe that it's worse to live in the have-not provinces in that role or that they are forced to, as there are upsides. City life is not for everyone, and the security and value that you have being the only one in your profession in your town can be better than competing with everyone in the big city.

What jobs would those be?
If you google a bit you can find lots of pictures of white people doing all kinds of disagreeable back breaking low paying dirty jobs.
Just because you've led a spoiled over-privileged life doesn't mean we all have.

@Ashiitaka

Canada let's in ALL immigrants.
Not just the "skilled" ones.
Retail jobs and labour jobs are being taken too.
Southern Ontario has been bombarded with them.
50% come here.
In 50 years it will be the shythole of Canada.

Well, hence the difference in attitudes. People's attitudes towards such things tend to follow restricted downward-facing parabolas.
