14 Senators and 5 Congressmen have been expelled from their positions since the Blount case in 1797. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_from_the_United_States_Congress

None have been impeached.
Then there is no precedent for impeaching while out of office.

And again, Trump wasn't out of office when he was impeached anyway.
Okay Shav.
He has not been impeached.
You claimed Blount was not impeached and by that standard neither was Trump.

Define impeached. You are flip flopping.

And MB, I wouldn't be so sure Trump won't be convicted in the Senate trial you keep insisting won't happen. Here's what Moscow Mitch said today:

""The mob was fed lies," McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, said on the Senate floor. "They were provoked by the President and other powerful people."

What Mitch McConnell says is irrelevant.

Kamala Harris incited a BLM riot.
You are applying a double standard because of a partisan bias induced mental illness. You only see what you want to see.

There is no precedent for impeaching a POTUS who is out of office.

No she didn't.

Trump wasn't out of office when impeached.

How many times do you have to be told this?

No, I didn't. Re-read my posts.

EDIT: I'll help. From p. 11 of this thread:

"Blount was impeached. Subsequently, it was decided that a Senator couldn't be.

There is no contradiction."

Me?
trump has been impeached twice.
I’ve never heard of Blount.

Seriously. You are mentally unsound. Get some help.

He was impeached and remained in office.
Trump will be out of office before the senate trial ever starts.
The constitution does not say impeachment of former presidents. You cannot convict a private citizen. You can only convict a president, not a former president.

Get a grip and read the constitution. You don't even live in the USA. What makes you think you understand my country better than I do?

Okay Shav

Define impeached. The type of impeachment you are referring to is not binding. You also contradicted yourself. You claimed no congressman was impeached and now you are saying Belknap was.

Make up your bloody mind. Were you wrong then or are you wrong now?

The house didn't impeach any of them? Even Belknap?

You said this:

"14 Senators and 5 Congressmen have been expelled from their positions since the Blount case in 1797. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expulsion_from_the_United_States_Congress

None have been impeached."

Belknap was not a civic officer, therefore he cannot be impeached according to the constitution. The impeachment of Belknap was clearly an unconstitutional act.

Blount was impeached by shav definition. By that shav logic that you recently adopted Blount should have set the precedent that senators can be impeached.

Correct your contradictions!

For the second time, Belknap wasn't a Congressman but the ex-Secretary of War.

There is only one type of impeachment and the House of Representatives has the sole power to do it under the Constitution. Then the Senate has to "try all impeachments".

Blount was expelled from office so he was not a civic officer either.
