Trump had a CONTROLLED withdrawal...biden came in and just jerked everyone out, leaving 13 American soldiers and hundreds of Afghan allies dead...FALLING OFF OF AIRPLANES ON THE RUNWAY.

you go ahead with your lying...everyone knows what happened
It was not controlled. It was a telegram to the Taliban saying "Go".
The troop management should have been left to Biden, the next President.
What Trump did was nothing more than throwing the new administration under the bus.

Cognitive dissonance. Your view of the world only runs through a partisan filter. If someone fell from an airplane on trump's watch you would be on here blaming the ground for his death.

We needed out of Afghanistan.

Biden having the political courage to finally end the Afghanistan fiasco was his finest moment.

And close to 130,000 civilians from the US, other allies and friendly Afghans were evacuated safely in less than a month. The whole withdrawal operation was brilliantly executed with only a few losses (almost all from one suicide bombing). https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/30/politics/us-military-withdraws-afghanistan/index.html

Other Presidents had promised to end the occupation of Afghanistan; Biden did it and in as efficient as a manner as was possible considering how the Afghan puppet military, recipients of tens of billions of US aid, folded without a fight. For that, history will one day give him the credit he deserves.

"Completely opposite to your other postings proclaiming no war under Trump.
And yet you would vote for Trump who basically let Putin run America's foreign policy."

We needed out of Afghanistan.
We sure did need to get out of Afghanistan, wildgrass. Trump got the ball rolling.
Somehow, Trump became the scapegoat because of Biden screwing up royally.

Joe Biden was the Commander in Chief of the US military when they left - among many other items,
158 Blackhawk helicopters behind in Afghanistan for the terrorists to use.
Too bad, those helos would have been used quite wisely by the Ukrainians.

Lol I completely disagree that trump became the scapegoat. Nearly all the blame for the sloppy withdrawal was placed on Biden.

I was responding to a comment regarding the withdrawal from Afghanistan. Stay on point, please. Unlike most on this site, politics is not my religion. While most of the time i agree with Dems, there are times I might agree with a Republican.

More useless blame throwing; how exactly was the US supposed to recover all the military equipment Presidents before Biden had lavishly provided the Afghan Army without massive bloodshed?

Trump had four years to end the occupation but didn't "get the ball rolling" until he thought it would be advantageous to his re-election chances. And we were still there when he left office.

hahaha. Do Repubs oppose 'all things' presented by democrats? What do Dems present that we should find acceptable. We prob would not like your presenting our paying off the loans of college graduates. Do you have anything else?
I have repeatedly stated I do not agree with the college loan repayment plan. I am really loosing interest in this forum. Few seem interested in facts or information.

Remember, Trump started the Afghanistan fiasco by reducing troop strength on Dec 7, 2020 when he should have been transferring power to the incoming President.
Biden should have handled it better, but Trump started that ball rolling.
Afghanistan was under full US military control when Trump left, Biden took over and ran away leaving everyone left in the lurch.

Easy Phranny, the college loan repayment was just an example. Here is a fact so we don't lose you on the Forum.
Larry Fink founded Blackrock. Leading charge to go after retirement plans of 152 million people to fund clime change. He is a liberal obviously, and libs want to get stuff from some people and give it to other people, a common thread here. He wants $50T . For Social Justice Spending. Govt will tell companies that they can no longer provide low cost sources of energy, they have to change, so we have to fundamentally change American's economy. He is conspiring with the WH to determine what technologies we can use, and forego everything else. They would have to strip mine the entire planet to get enough materials to get all the EV stuff, etc.
This should be fact enough for you. Larry Fink. Look him up. He uses the phrase social justice, which is code for take from the rich and give to the government. Do you think that that is fair to punish success, and do you think, if they did it, that there would be any more amazing successful people out there? No, because libs restrict the rich.
Hey, I'm tired of discussing it all myself with the parasites. Let me know of any other Forum we can go to. I would hope it would be made up of people who recognize that some citizens work more than others and do not want to distribute their income.
