I remember you and I having conversations about the Ratings and that the Clan Challenge Ratings should be separate from the other ratings which would give a truer Player Rating.

One of the few things we have actually agreed on over the years. 😉

3/7 is probably the most popular among the clans in terms of numbers but I'd say 3/14 is better for any new competition to cater for more or less everyone. The 7/7 games can take forever and 3/7 too quick for many.

I like the 3/7 time and I do play them all, even the ones that could run for years, I may not be around to finish them....LOL... Oh welll that is life.

I don't see how 3/7 is too fast for anyone, if you can't make a move in 3 days perhaps not a good idea to even be playing in Clan Challenges.

If someone gets sick there is always the Vacation time to use if it comes to that and of course one has time to put it on.

21 days and 28 days as a timeout always felt too long for a clan league match up , do many people play these times? feasibly only 12 or 13 moves a year, that's nuts

@Russ 3/7 seems fair but please see if you can add the clan rating. I think that would mean more than anything else (at least for my team)

I play the 21/28 and even higher time limits and they don't really last that long. I think players just use them as a safety net when there working or have health issues. Mine are usually done in a month or less, I have had some done in under a week. These are Tournaments though not Clan Challenge Games of course.

my clan still has an outstanding challenge going back to April 2025 due to these timeouts but hey i did accept it, maybe we can keep the challenge ongoing till 2027🤣

You know what I would do and would be all in my right for doing so, if a Clan Challenge being held up so you can't count the points if it is already won.

This is something not right dragging out a game like that simply to stop you from making another Clan Challenge. It happens far too much in my opinion.

We know you weren't in a situation where you were leading all Clans by 500 plus points!

We have a challenge together as well which started in September 25, 7/14 time controls... Which eejit offered that? 😅

EDIT: 3/7 is a lot more than a week if the person waits until the last hour to make a move then he has 3 more days so 2 moves could be 6 days right there. Also still has his/her 3 days without touching time bank. I been in enough of them to know. Lets not try playing with numbers. 😉 Also still has his 3 days providing he moves like I said and moves on the last hour.

If you think a 3/7 only lasts 1 week you don't know anything. It can last for Months if someone wants it to and a whole lot longer, as I am sure you are aware.

I EDITED my post I had put 3/14 instead of 3/7!

My Mistake. Your mistake a 3/7 still lasts more than 1 week! You aren't even close.

3/14 as we all know would last a hell of a lot longer!
