Originally posted by Rooney Once a BlueI thought Dida did poorly on that shot. However, it must be said that Rooney's temperament is improving. The world class Nesta beat him time and again, but instead of getting frustrated, he just kept plugging away, and eventually he won the competition. Superb considering he's not playing to his potential at the moment.

Or at least his hand 😉
Remember AC Milan have the best defense back 4 in the world and have only conceded one goal away from home in the CL this season.
Kaka played great against Manchester Uniteds weak defense.
Rooney, on his own, at 21 years of age, against the best defensive side in the world has opened the door to the Champions League Final for Manchester United.

However Scholes was awesome all game, yet in the papers he barely gets a mention. Such control of the ball and tempo to his passing, he even tackled better than his normal bull in a china shop. Utd are going to miss him when he retires.

Rooney isn't a pimple on Messi's arse.
I don't see him in the CL, what is he?
Rooney is a big game player, he raised his game against the best when needed to get a result against AC Milan in the semi finals.
He also scored home and away against Roma in the 1/4 final.
He is in the top 5 assists and goals in the premier league and always plays well in the big games.
He also runs back regulallly to defend for the team.
Rooney and Ronaldo are going to rule European fotball for years to come.
Messi needs to get more consistent and do it in the BIG games, lets see him score like Maradonna against Real Madrid.
If he does start to do it more consistently maybe Manchester United, Chelski or Liverpool will show an interest and buy him.
