From Cain's self invented religion in Genesis four.

Arius probably went wrong thinking like this:

" Why should I have to cow tow to these guys? I'm a pretty smart and persuasive fellow. I have different opinions about Jesus Christ. Who says I can't be a great leader of the Christian churches too ? "

Russell probably went the same way, thinking that his opinion about the nature of the Gospel could hold its own to any one else's. Why should he have to suck up to this or that clergyman?

Behind a lot of doctrinal differences is ambition for turf and leadership.

Not that there were not some genuine disagreements in theology.

Let's see. Jesus spoke of the Father. Yes, and He spoke of the Holy Spirit.

So then, we have the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

How do you like that? A triune Godhead! All one in the same.

They were invented by man, and just like everything else man invents it eventually turns to dust.

Sure........Satan as we've said before comes as an angel of light. In the guise of religion.

Hey Jay Will? What do you think about Sir Isaac Newton's anti-trinitarian views? He struggled with this very issue it seems.

The link below is an attempt to provide for you a marvelous little book by Witness Lee entitled:

Satan's Stradegy Against the Church. I recomend it. There are three main stradegies of Satan against the Christian church:

1.) Replace Christ with something else

2.) Deveolop a Clergy / Laity system to limit the proper function of all the members of Christ's body.

3.) Kill the Body of Christ by dividing it up into pieces, divisions, and denominations and sects.

Click under ALHABETICAL LIST to the left if the page does not come up. Search for the title.
