Well with God in the pledge being indivisible is a lie since people
are divided, without God being indivisible is a lie for the same reason.
Sinc ...[text shortened]... lone on that pledge shows us we have fallen short of what our
forefathers had hoped for.

You need to revisit the history books in order to understand the division that occurred, was repaired, and cannot be repeated. One Nation!

I would much rather have a godless government, as the U.S. is supposed to be, than a theocracy. Religion tends to be a lot better at taking away free will and telling people what to think.

Well let's not read too much into the pledge. After all, its primary purpose has always been to indoctrinate school children. I mean if we're going to test whether the Pledge is true, we probably have to start with "One Nation." Do we meet the standard of a nation? What does that mean anyway? "Under God" certainly deserves a good look. It doesn't get any better from there. "Indivisible," for many of the reasons you mention and more. "With Liberty, and Justice for All," yeah right! 🙂

I think the whole pledge thing is silly. Why do you pledge to a flag. Ok I admit it also says "and to the Republic for which [the flag] stands," but why the first part? "I pledge allegiance to the flag of United States of America." Why not, "I pledge allegiance to the United States of America"?

You call this nation one now? It is becoming more and more
polarized as time goes on, each election it is becoming worse
and worse.
