There's a ton of hurt...

There's a ton of hurt out there and it's an old, old story that's almost as old as the world. First wife got deceived out of her socks by

a snake. Her husband screwed up royally by making an emotional decision, getting them both booted out and permanently banned

from the park... earliest example on record of self induced misery. One of their first two sons murdered his brother in a fit of jealous

rage. In all the years since little has changed. As near as I can tell, most all of the reasons for hurt and pain and suffering around

the globe fall into one of two categories: external (deprivations, adversities and loss caused by war, crime, economic and weather

disasters) and internal (personal frustrations and grief caused by the cumulative effect of point in time wrong decisions). You agree?

Wrong decisions are often better than sitting on the fence no decision.
Hopefully we can tweek wrong decisions or use them as an opportunity.

I think you could also fit hurt into these catergories:

Real and Imaginary
Personal and Non-personal
Intentional and Unintentional
Historical and Contemporary
Physical and Spiritual

Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

But what would be the point?

anybody seen my

underpants??

Hedging your bets by saying "most all"?

It all started with original sin, and as such, falls into one category, by which we are all guilty and fall short.

But there's good news.

"For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous." -- Romans 5:19

great. so it all falls into one of two mutually-exclusive and, together, all-encompassing categories. that's really profound...NOT. of course the reasons are all either internal or external - that's all these is.

thanks for another helping of cod philosophy.

Why, Duecer? It's a topic of general interest, which doesn't attempt to debate

any parochial premise or to promote any particular religious point of view.

"Most all" in the interest of intellectual honesty... simply wasn't sure if there might be any exceptions.

BK, only general housekeeping purpose of noting the obvious two

macro categories was to create focus on the micro causes within.
