You must really hate reggae.
But I don't see that at all. More typical ghetto concerns. Like 'La Haine'.
Change your filters, maaan.
Originally posted by Bosse de NageOk, I was talking about the film. From the song:
I meant the ADF song 'La haine'.
I simply don't see what you see. Different filters. Let it be.
Are you a spanner in the works or part of the plan
Are you shaking or biting the invisible hand
There's duality everywhere in that song. I can almost hear Bush asking me if I'm with him or the terrorists.
'You are'... 'Are you'...? 'You are'...
I really can't stand the black and whiteness of it all.
But as you say...different filters.
Originally posted by PalynkaI'd tend to interpret that non-dualistically, as a call to submit, to align with the Tao, the 'invisible hand'. Of course I don't see any coded references to the evil West at all.

Given where ADF come from, I'd say their vision was local, not global. Sort out your own backyard. Choosing 'La Haine' as the title for a song, obviously referencing the film, would tend to reinforce that.
If their message was as simplistic as you portray, I'd have no time for them. Not that I'm constantly jamming to ADF as it is ... a bit remote from my reality.
