Judas was never a true follower of Jesus. His only god was money. In fact, the only other time the phrase "son of perdition" is used to refer to anyone other than Judas is in reference to the Antichrist, the sworn enemy of every believer in the end times.

Judas was chosen by Jesus. Jesus knew what Judas would do. He had ...[text shortened]... /2005_CRM/WasJudasEverSaved.html

How can both of these claims be true? You say that Jesus already knew what Judas would do, but he also had "every chance, like the other disciples, to be saved."

It’s important to note that it was God’s will that Jesus be crucified. There are some who believe that Judas was actually following Jesus’ instructions.

If that is true he wouldn't have committed suicide.

No. Judas represents the constellation of Scorpio, which betrays the Sun unto it's Winter "death" after it passes the Autumnal Equinox to venture below the celestial equator, where darkness rules. The 30 pieces of "silver" are allegorical, and represent the 30° of each of the 12 constellations the Sun passes "through".

I'm sure it's all just a silly coincidence, though.

"My" solution is that God does not know the future. Free will exists.

Then free will is an illusion, for the ability to exercise free will entails the ability to determine future states.

The Triune God does not know the future, which means that you do not believe in God's omniscience.

Is this a belief confessed by your Church, the Southern Baptist Church if my memory serves me well, or is it your own version of the Christian faith ?

It's a truth revealed in the Bible repeatedly.
