I've actually read it and don't rely for my interpretation on what some guy invented in the 1800's, you gullible jerk.
Acts 8:29-31
29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go near and overtake this chariot."
30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?"
31 And he said, "How can I, unless someone guides me?" And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.

Now, I am not your teacher, but you really should go and listen to different preachers.

2 and 3 sounds contradictory. But anyway, I assume the whole point of religion is to get eternal life. We agree that if you follow the commandments of Christ you are 100% certain to acheive that. Why complicate matters with other theories that maybe incorrect, and you run the risk of diluting the importance of the teachings of Christ.
We should try to understand His heart. What He wants....
Jer 9:23-24
23 Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches;
24 But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight," says the LORD.

Is this the same god that claims to be omniscient, omnipotent and the Lord of all creation? (And wants everyone to worship him for it)
Sounds like a hypocrite to me...

Christ is probably the only person in the Bible that spoke with such clarity and simplicity. A 10 year old child can read and understand what is required for salvation. You need to accept Christ and go ahead and get on with the business of doing good works - Matt 25.

Studying, translating, interpreting, researching is of no value on judgement day.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
